AMARK PACKAGING is a family owned corporation, founded by Bob McCullough in 1973 as a regional distributor of packaging equipment and systems. Mechanical conveyors were needed as a part of our growing product line. A small manufacturing facility was opened in Kansas City, Missouri where several models of belt type package conveyors were introduced. These conveyor models, and associated fabricated components, soon expanded to include a variety of bulk and process units.

As our business continued to grow, the conveying products were offered nationwide through OEMs, agents, and engineering firms. We then expanded by moving to our present facility, located in South Kansas City, Missouri. Our present operation encompasses over 20,000 square feet and includes approximately 30 employees. We offer over 200 different types of bulk, package, and pallet conveyor equipment.

Late in 1993, we began to implement our broadened business focus by introducing primary packaging machinery into our product offering. This equipment is known throughout the industry as vertical form/fill/seal and encompasses a variety of automated baggers and scales. It is used primarily for consumer products such as spices, candy, powder, pasta, beans, snacks, and other  foods.

Our business is also designing, building, and supplying bulk conveying, package filling, and closing and handling equipment for dry solid products such as feed, grain, fertilizer, chemicals, plastic, and hundreds of other related products.

Each application is carefully evaluated to assure proper equipment design. A detailed knowledge of bulk density, particle size, and  flowability are among the many considerations given to each customer's requirements.
